This package provides an updated it87 driver adding support for IT8716F and IT8718F Super I/O chip w/LPC interface for CentOS 5.2 series kernels. It is built to depend upon the specific ABI provided by a range of releases of the same variant of the CentOS kernel and not on any one specific build.

The driver is installed to:
/lib/modules/2.6.18-92.el5/extra/it87/it87.ko

This driver overrides the builtin kernel it87 driver by weak-updates. See 'cat /etc/depmod.d/it87.conf'

This driver requires lm_sensors >= 2.10.3 (ATrpms has updated packages for CentOS-5: http://atrpms.net/dist/el5/lm_sensors/)

You may need to configure the device in /etc/sensors.conf for correct voltage/temperature readings.
